A DNA test prompted by the mayor of Kyengera Town Council in Wakiso district, Mathias Walukagga has indicated that he is not the biological father of four of the children in the home and by press time, he had come to terms with the mothers of the different children to take the children to their biological fathers.
Walukagga appeared in a blog report where he disclosed that he has for long been given a hard time by an unidentified man who has continually been telling him that one of the children in his home is actually his and not Walukagga’s.
Walukagga said that when the claimant got to his nerves, he decided to have a DNA test done for all the six children.
“Some are really grown as one is in S.4 and the other in S.6, so I decided to take all of them for the test because I thought taking only one of them would raise undue questions,” he said.
He is known to have in his music career composed hits cautioning men against crafty women fond of lying to men that they are the biological fathers of their (women’s) children with the intention of accessing wealth.
In one of the songs, entitled ‘Mukomusajja’ Walukagga expresses the worry that on his death, mourners could witness a long queue of widows because he adds, he has in life had relationships with very many women.
For that reason, he advised, it is better for men to take their children to a DNA test to establish the truth.
Walukagga advised that taking a DNA test well in time would save men the embarrassment and social trauma like it happened to one Ibrahim Musisi of Mukono a few years ago, who almost ran mad on learning that the girl he cherished as a daughter actually belonged to another man.
