Police have arrested five suspects in connection to the gruesome murder of the National Unity Platform’s supporter, a retired educationist, Godfrey Tabandama Nyehangane.
Rusoke Kituuma, the police spokesperson has identified the suspects as; Victor Magezi (22), a herdsman for the deceased, Stuart Turyasingura (20), a herdsman and Stephen Kato (17), a student and also a shamba boy at the home of the deceased.
The horrible incident happened in the night of September 18-19, 2024 at Nyamiyaga cell, Kakunyu ward, Kabwohe division in Sheema Municipality.
Kituuma reports that after the rest of the first three suspects, they went ahead to get clues from the suspects that led to the arrest of other two, who include; Hanning Byesiza and Godious Nuwagaba.
He says they were last evening arrested from Kyabugimbi and Kyamuhunga following good leads provided by suspects in our custody.
