CBS’ Mbaziira Tony Critically Injured in a Deadly Accident

The Entertainment industry has received the unfortunate news of the two popular artistes, DJ Mbaziira Tony and a local musician, Aidah Muggo who have survived a deadly accident. The duo are said to have got the accident at Kyalusowe on Masaka Road as they were heading for a show.

One of the programs, the Township Tunes runs on 89.2fm during week days from Monday to Friday in afternoon hours whereas another runs on every Sunday morning, dubbed, the Sunday Morning Drive also on 89.2fm Emmanduso.

Both Mbaziira Tony and Aidah Muggo were rushed to health facilities for medical attention while in critical condition.

One of Mbaziira Tony’s fellow workmates at CBS has confirmed the accident saying that he was critically injured and that he is in deep pain.

A number of Musicians and other entertainers have over the years perished in accidents which result from various reasons, which range from drink driving, over speeding, and poor conditions of some of their vehicles.

The pressure from the promoters who hire them is also ranked number one reason for the cause of such accidents following the fact that some of them have multiple shows on the same day and in different venues.

The country lost one of the legendary Kadongokamu singers, Herman Basudde in 1997, leaving the entertainment industry paralysed.

Last year, Lady Grace also died in a road accident when the car which was being driven by her fellow artist, Ronald Alimpa. They got the accident, a few Kilometres to the venue where they were going to perform from.

Lady Grace got her fame when she sang a collabo with Ivan T, called Layira.
