Mpuuga Charged Before Anti-Corruption Court, Remanded

The Chairperson of Rakai District Service Commission, Mpuuga David was Monday charged with three counts of Corruption before the Anti-Corruption Court.

Court heard that Mpuuga solicited and received sh20m from a candidate, to secure him a job as an Agricultural Officer Rakai District.

The accused was arrested by the State House Anti-corruption Unit working together with the Crime Investigations Department and the Office of the Director Public Prosecution.

Mpuuga’s arrest followed a public outcry to the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Rakai district about his consistent asking for bribes on each vacancy available. He was remanded until 14/10/2024.
