During the two-day Buvuma district inspection of government funded projects in the islands, members of the parliamentary national economy committee amazed islanders when they pounced on a family size jack fruit, had it chopped into pieces and did justice to it without leaving a piece.

When they got to Lukale Health Centre III in Nairambi sub-county, while other members were busy going around the health unit, some MPs including Agnes Taaka, Buvuma Woman MP Susan Mugabi, Bbaale county’s Charles Tebandeke, Dr. Nicholas Kamara, the Kabale Municipality MP and their police body guard PC Nafuna, approached a woman selling the jack fruit, paid for it all in one bit and asked her to chop it in pieces for them, before they started enjoyably eating it.

Never mind that a juicy lunch prepared for them by their colleague Buvuma MP Robert Migadde Ndugwa at his prestigious Oil Palm Resort was waiting for them as the last meal before departure after their mission.

However, telling that the time check was approaching 3.00pm and yet these parliamentarians had had their last meal at breakfast, it is possible they were responding to some natural demands by their digestive system.

The MPs were so engaged in what they were enjoying that they did not even heed to a warning by one of their members who told them that a cameraman was taking their photos.
Kindly do not ask me whether they even managed to pick findings by their colleagues in the health unit.
