Ven. Can. Jackson Baalwa Appointed 5th Assistant Bishop of Kampala Diocese

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda who is also the Bishop of the diocese of Kampala, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu has selected The Ven Rev Canon Frederick Jackson Baalwa as the 5th Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala.

This was during the extraordinary meeting that happened on August 13, 2024 at All Saints’ Cathedral Kampala.
Canon Baalwa has been serving as the archdeacon of Ssugu archdeaconry in Kampala diocese.
He was once a youth chaplain in Mukono diocese and also a chaplain of Uganda Christian University (UCU).
Now bishop elect, Ven. Canon Jackson Baalwa joins the long list of bishops who hail from Mukono diocese and serving in different dioceses under the Province of the Church of Uganda.
They include; The Archbishop himself, Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, the Bishop of Namirembe diocese, Moses Banja, the bishop of Luweero diocese, Wilson Kisekka and West Buganda diocesan bishop,
Katumba Tamale.
