The State House anti-corruption unit in collaboration with the Crime Investigations Department and Office of the Director of Public Prosecution on Tuesday arraigned Mutabingwa Tonny, a Kampala businessman before the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on charges of Fraudulent Procurement of a Certificate of Title and Forcible Entry.

It is alleged that the accused together with others still at large, between December 2022 and March 2023 at Kisugu-Makindye Division in Kampala City, forged court orders which they used to register themselves on a certificate of title for land comprised in Block 244 Plot 8328 at Kisugu.

The accused went ahead to mobilize graders and a group of persons armed with machetes to forcefully and violently cut down crops and trees. They graded, sub-divided the land and later sold it off.
