Kikuube Police Patrol Accident Death Toll Rises to Nine

The death toll from Kikuube district police patrol accident has risen from seven to nine people.

According to the information released by police in the Albertine region, the deceased that died when a police patrol which was heading to a crime scene where the officers were taking the suspects to revisit a murder scene include the Kikuube district Crime Officer, who is among the five police officers and four civilians. The accident is said to have happened at Kabale village in Kikuube district.
The deceased include the four police officers; D/IP Matubua Avinzo Charles (CID Kikuube district), D/AIP Gen Richard (incharge homicide desk Kikuube), D/CPL Cheruto Christine (in charge gender desk) and D/C Samuel Ojambo (CID personnel in homicide desk).

Others are; Mubarak Lwamahe (suspect), Munyuza Martin (suspect) and Tukamusaba Peace (suspect).
The driver of the patrol Nuwamanya Raymond and a baby of less than a year who is a son to Peace Tukamusaba, one of the suspects are also among the deceased.
The bodies were taken to Kikuube Health Centre IV mortuary for postmortem.

The casualties from the accident have been identified as; Francis Bwango (2nd in charge homicide desk), Micheal Omamu (in charge CT), Abel Nyiringiye (CT personnel), Johnson Tumusiime, SPC Apollo Turinoha, Julius Kabagambe (suspect) and Jonathan Kamugisha (suspect).
