The Police in Busega are hunting for a mother who allegedly dumped her sick baby by the roadside in a trench.
The yet to be identified homeless mother left behind a written note explaining how she had been abandoned by the father of the child and that her efforts to seek help from Police did not yield any help.
The cheat identifies the well-dressed baby as Omumbejja Zainab and the mother as Brenda Atuhaire.
Atuhaire explains that; “Please help me, I am homeless yet the child’s father does not look after us. I tried to seek Police redress but they did not help. Now my baby is sick but I don’t have money and no one is willing to help me. I have not dumped her out of my wish! I love my daughter,” reads part of the note.
Kyaggwe TV has learnt that after picking the baby, the Good Samaritans handed her over to Busega Police Station where she is currently kept from as the hunt for her mother goes on.
