The Principal of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has dropped Mathias Mpuuga for the Leader of Opposition (LOP) replacing him with Joel Senyonyi.
Mpuuga, the Nyendo-Mukungwe constituency legislator has resurfaced in the new opposition cabinet as the Parliamentary Commissioner. The Busiro East MP, Medard Lubega Sseggona has been appointed as the chairperson Commissions, Statutory Authorities, and State Enterprises (COSASE), whereas the embattled Mityana Municipality MP, Francis Zaake is the Deputy Chief Whip.
