West Nile Tycoon Hajji Twaha Agarile Dies in Turkey

One of the West Nile leading businessmen, Hajji Twaha Agarile has died in Turkey, the Ambassador of Uganda to Turkey Nusura Tiperu Omar has confirmed.

Through the condolence message, Tiperu says that Hajji Agarile also known as Umoja, the proprietor of Nile Star Coaches died from Medipal Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Nile Star buses ply between West Nile and Kampala.

“The Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Republic of Turkiye regrets to announce the demise of our beloved brother from West Nile HAJJI TWAHA AGARILE the proprietor of Nile star Coaches which occurred in Türkiye at Medipol hospital Istanbul,” reads part of the Ambassador’s message.

It further states that Hajji Agarile’s body departed from Turkey aboard Turkish Airlines flight number TK0612 on Thursday December 7, at 07:35pm and arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Friday morning at 05:00am.

The body has this morning been received by the Minister of Karamoja Affairs Mary Goretti Kitutu in company of the deceased’s close friends and family members.

Burial arrangements indicate that there will be Janazah prayers for the deceased at 10:00am on Friday morning at Old Kampala Gaddafi Mosque and at 02:00pm at Arua City in Arua Primary School playground.

The body is to be laid to rest at the deceased’s ancestral grounds at Eradiru village, Rigbo sub-county at Rhino camp in Madi Okollo district.

The cause of death of Hajji Agarile is not yet revealed though he was taken to Turkey to seek medical attention after realising some health complications.
