Lugazi Police are investigating cirmustances undewhich one Agasiru Priscilla, a 19-year-old woman was murdered by unknown people . According to Ssezibwa Region Police spokesperson, Hellen Butoto, the incident occured on Tuesday July 11, 2023 around 8:30pm at Luwayo cell in Kawolo Division, Lugazi Municipality.
Butoto said that the incident was reported by the deceased’s brother who found the body of her sister who had been slaghtered and damped at the roadside.
The brother to the deceased alleged that Agasiru had been slaughtered by her own boyfriend whom she had a baby with.
“The body of the deacesed was cut into two parts the head and the downer part . The head was seen with multiple deepcuts lying besides the downer part of the female body,” she revealed.
The Ssezibwa Region Police mouthpiece, Butoto identified the suspect as Wazemba Ekurius who was arrested. Wazemba who is now battling with charges of murder is detained at Lugazi Police Station.
Police is said to have recovered only blue sandals from the scene of crime as the killed weapon is not yet identified.
Butoto said that signs of struggle was seen at the point where the sandles were recovered from.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kawolo Hospital for postmortem.
Butoto called upon the public to liaise with police with any clues that will lead to the true information pining the suspect or any other people who could be behind this murder.
